Ojumi is an advanced identity verification software tailored
to the unique challenges in Africa. Using AI and advanced biometrics, the
solution addresses issues like the lack of uniform identity systems, fraudulent
documentations and the inaccessibility of digital services for underserved
populations. The system integrates facial recognition, voice authentication,
and document verification, ensuring inclusivity and compliance with
international data protection standards.
Nigeria, with over 220 million citizens, faces challenges of
fragmented identity systems, high levels of financial exclusion, and identity
fraud. Ojumi (which means my eyes in Yoruba) will address these challenges
using AI to create an inclusive and scalable identity verification platform.
Designed to align with Nigeria’s National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy
(2020–2030) and Africa’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), this project
aims to improve governance, enhance financial inclusion, and enable
cross-border identity interoperability.
